About Richard Baernthaler: Lecturer in Ecological Economics at the University of Leeds, School of Earth and Environment (Sustainability Research Institute, SRI), where he also (co-)lead the research group Economics and Policy for Sustainability. Richard Baernthaler is a board member at the European Society for Ecological Economics. His research focuses on economics as social provisioning; needs-based economies; post-growth; sufficiency as social organising principle; eco-social policies; and the political economy of social-ecological crises.
